A long-time member of the Jackson-area cigar community, JD has been referred to as “Jackson Cigar Royalty,” a title he laments may be a “dubious distinction.”  Active in the growth of Jackson’s cigar community over the years, Burns has worked in a variety of premium tobacco roles across the area, both professionally and on a volunteer basis.  These days, JD offers his vast experience and wisdom to The Country Squire’s patrons, generously sharing his decades of expertise in cigar knowledge, etiquette, and history.  He enjoys helping a customer determine exactly what they are seeking in a preferred cigar or pipe tobacco and suggesting a variety of new cigars and pipes to appeal to the smoker.  Burns is a graduate of Belhaven University and is designated a Certified Retail Tobacconist by Tobacconist University.
