Samuel Gawith’s 1792 Flake is rich, dark, and full-bodied pipe tobacco marked by its strong character and beautiful tonquin notes. Fire-cured Tanzanian leaf and steamed and pressed Virginias are pressed then steam-pressed to further marry and caramelize the flavors before being cut into decadent flakes.

50g tin. One of the original blends from 1848. Mature red Virginia and Kentucky from North Carolina, black cavendish and Turkish are blended with latakia to produce a blend which has given quiet satisfaction to smokers for over a century.

The Oriental Mixture has been part of Robert McConnell’s range since the beginning of the 19th century, making it one of the company’s oldest products. It consists mostly of Cypriot, Turkish and Eastern Mediterranean bright tobaccos, which are blended together with bright leaf from Carolina and Red Old Belt from Virginia over a whole week. Carolina Black Cavendish is then added, resulting in a balanced, medium strength blend that will delight friends of expressive pipe tobacco in particular.
Manufactured from matured Virginia leaves from Africa and Brazil, as well as Oriental tobaccos from Greece and Turkey. A sweetish blend, rich in scent and taste.

Like the milder-bodied Capstan Yellow, Capstan Blue was originally created by W.D. & H.O. Wills of Bristol well over a century ago. It’s remained a favorite to countless pipe smokers across generations (J.R.R. Tolkien having been on of its most noted aficionados), a testament to the quality of this fine Virgina flake, here offered in ready-rubbed form.
A light, bright flake of famous refinement and antiquarian origins, here in ready rubbed form, Capstan Gold, like its medium bodied Blue sibling, was originally created by W.D. & H.O. Wills of Bristol during the latter half of the 19th century. Suffice to say, it’s no accident this smoking mixture has survived as a favorite to so many generations. Produced by Mac Baren since 2006.
Robert McConnell’s Code: Relax is a Danish aromatic, imbued with the rum-vanilla aroma of tonka bean, joined by green apple, sparkling grapefruit, and a touch of Benedictine-liqueur.
