This is quite possibly the best tobacco I have ever tasted, smelled, and smoked. I absolutely adore every single part of this tobacco. The jar aroma is soft and sweet. The taste mid-smoke seems to be less maple-y and more like a very rich, creamy vanilla with the texture and consistency of melted butter. It leaves a lingering smell on my clothes that smells fantastic. I ordered 2 ounces of this and another tobacco, but I think it’s safe to say that I’ll be buying either a half pound or a whole pound very, very soon.

Wow! Second Breakfast is my new second favorite right after Old Toby! I smoked my first bowl of SB this morning before work and I wanted to call in just so I could smoke another bowl right away. This blend has a warm, gently sweet and enticing aroma, smoked cool with a deliciously lingering taste that tantalized my tastebuds for awhile after I finished the bowl. This has got to be my absolute favorite blend of all time! the jar note (and beard note, for that matter) is very sweet and pleasant. the smoke is smooth and buttery in texture. The maple and vanilla flavors are rich, and take center stage for the majority of the smoke, and a hint of that buttery flavor comes in at the finish for me. easily a 10 out of 10, and I will be ordering more as soon as I can so that I can stock up. You owe it to yourself to smoke this out of an all-wooden churchwarden! You will feel like you’re right there in the Shire, enjoying a delicious smoke with the likes of Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins! The Country Squire has out-done themselves with this pipe-weed. It is everything you’ve fantasized about when reading or watching the Lord of the Rings, and more!

Second Breakfast a blend tremendously a mirror image of RLP 6 . I was able to make this comparison as I purchased a variety of blends to find a daily , smoke. It is really close maybe with a mild trace of difference. Bag note and room aroma are basically the same.

It works hard, tastes great and is forgiving for those who may smoke a little fast when the sun is up. This is in my top 3 working aromatics now. I’ll always keep some in the cellar.

I found this blend to be rather bland. Little flavor of any form nether topping nor tobacco. Kinda perplexing really as the intense flavors found in these guys other blends make them my all time current favorites. That said it burned cool, stayed a blaze and arrived at a decent moisture. So might be great for newbies looking for an easy to smoke subtle blend.

To me this a 5 star blend, it may not be as good as Rivendell, but still a very good smoke. My wife likes it but she still gets an “ashy” taste with it. I enjoy this blend because it is mild taste but still very good, and I haven’t gotten a bad tongue bite either, and I tend to get tongue bite pretty easily when it comes to some aromatics.

This is a very nice blend. Definitely can taste the maple with a buttery aftertaste. Smokes great right out of the bag. No bite and no relight necessary. Great blend to enjoy with a second cup of coffee after eating some breakfast gumbo (grits with shrimp, conecuh sausage, sweet onion, orange and red bell pepper, garlic, mushrooms and sharp cheddar cheese). You can’t go wrong with Second Breakfast.
