Dunhill Durbar Mixture

Dunhill Durbar Mixture

One of Dunhill’s oldest standardized blends, predating most of what’s on a tobacco shelf today by well over a century. Durbar was introduced in 1912 — alongside Royal Yacht, as one of the first blends Dunhill tinned for general sale rather than custom-mixed to order — and was originally produced by sister company Murray & Sons.

It’s a Balkan-style ribbon cut built on Latakia and Oriental/Turkish leaf over a Virginia base, giving a smoky, incense-like character with leather, roasted nut, and buttery, earthy depth, and a slow, cigar-like burn.

Durbar has been out of production for years now and isn’t part of Peterson’s current Dunhill-descended lineup, which makes tins from this run genuinely hard to find.

** Due to inability to date from tin, some tins may vary in production year (2015-2021), although some may have written evidence of dates purchased **
