Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture
$45.00
Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture
A slice of English tobacco history in the tin. Dunhill’s Elizabethan Mixture pairs pressed, darkened Virginias with a measure of St. James Parish perique, all ribbon-cut, for an easygoing smoke with a tangy edge and a bit of pepper spice.
The blend was originally produced by Dunhill in London before production shifted to sister company Murray & Sons in Belfast in 1981. It stayed in production there until BAT closed the Murray factory in 2005, taking Elizabethan off shelves until STG brought it back under the Dunhill name in 2013 — this particular tin predates that reintroduction, carrying the earlier Dunhill-era branding from before the blend’s move to the Peterson line.
** Due to inability to date from tin, some tins may vary in production year (2015-2021), although some may have written evidence of dates purchased **
