Step into the rich imagination of the South with our Fantasy South Series Sampler — a curated collection of six original Country Squire blends. Available in 1 oz., 2 oz., or 4 oz. sizes, this sampler lets you explore the unique character of each tobacco while finding your next favorite.

Included Blends:

Pilgrim’s Muse (New Recipe) – A traditional Scottish mixture rebuilt in-house, offering a balanced, contemplative smoke with natural sweetness, gentle spice, and a refined touch of smokiness.
Components: Ready-rubbed flue-cured Virginias, Burley, Latakia, and Turkish tobaccos.

George’s Dragon – A traditional non-aromatic of ripe air-cured and rich flue-cured Virginia leaf with a touch of Burley, delivering a naturally sweet, bright smoke with grassy citrus notes and a steady strength.
Components:  flue-cured Virginias, and Burley.

King’s Highway – A medium-full Virginia-Kentucky mixture with natural sweetness and rich smokiness, creating a bold, earthy smoke with citrus brightness and savory depth.
Components: Bright Virginias and dark fire-cured Kentucky.

Tombigbee – One of our most celebrated aromatics, offering a sweet, creamy smoking experience with notes of cocoa, molasses, spice, and a dessert-like character reminiscent of Snickerdoodle cookies.
Components: Virginia and several strains of Burley processed through the Cavendish method.

Riverboat Queen – A smooth, easygoing aromatic with warm notes of vanilla, maple, and honey, supported by a nutty, woody foundation and a soft, buttery sweetness.
Components: Burley, Virginia, and Cavendish.

Picayune Pancake – A rich yet approachable aromatic with the character of a Southern breakfast, combining toasted sweetness, gentle citrus, and warm vanilla-maple charm in a flavorful, soft smoke.
Components: Toasted Cavendish and a variety of Virginias

Extras Available: Add a set of Fantasy South Series Labels — perfect for collectors or for marking your cellaring jars. Includes one label for each blend (6 total).

An amazing way to sample a variety of types of tobacco without stressing about the price of types that are not to your taste. Since I’m a new smoker I couldn’t smell or taste the things listed under bag/room/taste notes. That said I do have 3 that I highly recommend. # 1 Tombigbee: Smells and taste like a ginger spice cake! By far my wife’s favorite one to smell me smoke.
#2 Picayune Pancake: A great sweet smelling/tasting tobacco.
#3 George’s Dragon: This one surprised me because I didn’t pick up on anything special in the bag notes; however, when I smoked I got this zing on my tongue that reminded me of Zots candy when I was a kid. The tobacco is not sweet but definitely a fun and cool type of tobacco smoke that is new to me.
My least favorite was King’s Highway because it tasted sharp or harsh or bitter or something that made me not want to finish the bowl. The wife’s least favorite was Riverboat Queen, more for the smell of the smoke. I hope this helps.

Not a single bad blend. I was disheartened to hear that the fantasy blends had been discontinued after learning about them finally this year. I wanted to try blends named after my favorite references to an amazing author’s world space. So, once I learned that the names had changed and the blends updated, I lost all despair. I have found Riverboat Queen to be my absolute favorite in the bunch, closely followed by Tombigbee, then Pilgrim’s Muse and George’s Dragon tied for 3 place. I recently purchased a half pound of Riverboat Queen and cannot wait to add it back into my line up after a month of not having any.

Being a new pipe smoker and had seen a good amount of videos on YouTube. Had to give this big sampler a try. For noobs this is an amazing start with smelling notes from different bags to get acquainted with different types of blended tobaccos. My favorite is RiverBoat Queen, walnut, light cocoa, sweet. It reminded me of RLP-6 but BETTER. From a nooks perspective if any of my friends want to try ill have a sampler on hand in seperate jars and a fresh cob to hand them.

Learning about Country Squire, I realized that I had to try their blends. But which ones? Made my life easy and bought the 2 oz. sampler. No better way to see what the tobacconist is most proud of, than to try what he has selected for the sampler.

While I obviously preferred some of the blends over others, I can honestly say that there are none that I will not finish. I know what I will run out of first, and will gladly reorder in 8 oz or 1 pound bags, but there is nothing that I wouldn’t buy more of. Not sure what to try first? Buy this selection and let your nose and eyes determine your tasting order.

    JD, thank you sir.
