A unique blend of various Virginias and delicious black Cavendish. A real crowd-pleaser.
Choctaw was originally Cherokee #1. In the mid-1990s, Cherokee #2 was rebranded “Cherokee” and Cherokee #1 was renamed “Choctaw”. There was a Cherokee #3, but a key blending ingredient for that tobacco was discontinued.
Cherokee and Choctaw are very similar, but smokers tend to think of Choctaw as stronger due to the different Virginia tobaccos and proportions.

One of the great aromatics of all time. Great taste, friendly room note, and no bite. The wife actually invites me to smoke this in the house, it smells so good. Highly recommended.

If you’re looking to try something other than an aromatic but that’s not a full English, then this is a good start. Virginias are known for their grassy-forward notes and that’s what I get from this. It reminds me of standing in a field and smelling the tall grass on a summer evening. Kind of like smoking a cigar, you’re here to enjoy the tobacco on this one, and not a sweet casing. It doesn’t burn super hot either. 4/5 because I’m mostly an aromatic smoker, but I enjoyed it.
