Just an excellent, smooth smoke. Produces a mellow room note and clouds of milky smoke. Recommended.

Incredibly smooth, no bite, and a lovely semi-sweet flavor. I can’t really taste any added flavors, it’s just a very light sweet Virginia taste. This is my favorite blend for when I’m not feeling like an English or an aromatic, and just want something medium-strength and easy to smoke.

  3. Todd L. Platek

Usually a Cornishman blend smoker, I found Meriwether a solid, smooth VA-Burley smoke with light but distinct flavor and medium body. Very enjoyable.

This is a great blend that I keep coming back to again and again. It’s definitely on the “mellow” side of burleys and has a generous amount of sweetness – almost nougat-like. It’s not at all goopy or heavy like an aromatic, but it’s definitely sweet. I’ve inquired multiple times whether or not it’s a casing I’m tasting or if it’s just the sweetness of the virginias, but I’ve never heard back. Maybe someone will comment on here? Either way, it’s a wonderful blend that can either be an all day smoke, or just for those times when you don’t want an aro nor an English. Highly recommended!

I agree with the characterizations in the other reviews. Either mine picked up a bit of the Rivendell flavor it was shipped with or there’s some kind of light, sweet flavoring. Very light, always present. An easy enjoyable smoke.

    I like this baccy
When I’m smoking it there is this feeling that I should be smoking it through a Church Warden

A medium smoke that makes me think of hearth and home.

Wonderful ribbon cut tobacco. Moisture when received was just right. I did dry it for about 30 minutes before smoking. After the char lit and a tamp, it smokes cool and even.
Great smooth tobacco flavor with subtle sweet, coco and nutty notes. Thick, luxurious smoke with a pleasant room note.
If there’s any casing on this, it’s lite and not noticeable.
Would love to know the percentage of each tobacco? The Maryland is a tobacco I’m not familiar with. I did a quick search and it seems to be a “neutral flavor” type tobacco.
Not a complex blend, but sometimes you’re just in the mood for a wonderful, easy to smoke tobacco with good flavor. A very enjoyable tobacco indeed. I could smoke this any time of the year; definitely an all day smoke. I will definitely be ordering some more of this in the future!

A solid contender! Smooth, no bite and a very pleasing flavor. This is the 5th Squire I’ve tried and is, by far, a winner.
