My original purchase of 4 ounces was done on a lark – with the goal of giving a good solid spin to everything The Country Squire has to offer.
Sorting tobaccos by popularity, and number of comments on this website would lead a smoker to conclude Tidewater is a “B-side” brew, a studio out-take from a blender who has run out of ideas.
What a wonderful surprise. The well-ripped leaves simply sing with seamless flavor.
A sleeper hit, Tidewater has crawled it’s way up the charts into heavy rotation. The perfect yacht rock mix, with a warm AM radio feel. Smooth smoking, not a single scratch on the vinyl. Easily the best sunshine smoke I’ve had.
Pair it with Peach Perrier and experience the endless summer.

This does not contain cavendish. But I wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a “non-aromatic.” I don’t taste the actual leaf components. Whatever casing/topping is applied is too much and makes it unpleasant to actually smoke. (Mechanically speaking) It does not smoke well and leaves a ton of moisture in the bowl.

What a hit! This is refined bliss. This takes to the flame easy, burns well with minimal relights. Flavor is loaded with delicate nuances of sweet, mild, but savory notes. This is not on the aromatic side, but whatever casing/topping is on this is very mild if there is any at all. Flavor profile is on the lighter side of medium, hold ups well to a charcoal filter, and no tongue bite. It will play nicely with any drink you care for. Goes well with a hot summer day!

Tidewater is my go to all Virginia. I don’t taste any topping just natural tobacco. Great alone or as a base for the home blender.

I would put this in the lite-aromatic catagory. After a few bowls I found that it is consistant in burn and taste throughout. I am not a fan of the floral topping I detect in the tin not and its translation in the room note as well. Not one for my regular rotation

I have accumulated about 5 lbs
And will aquire more. I smoke LBF and the new red dot, escudo,as well as peterson coins and I have to admit that I find myself reaching for tidewater more and more. This is now my fo to tobbacco!
