An excellent balanced blend worthy of it’s name sake. The Latakia and Perique make their presence known but are not over whelming. The Virginia’s and Burley’s are top notch as usual. Great lingering aroma in the nose as well. It is a stout smoke but very enjoyable as it should be in moderation. The Country Squire never ceases to amaze me with their blends. Va/Pers may enjoy this as well as those with discriminating tastes in non-aromatics. Must grab my walking stick and hail a hansome, the game is afoot Watson! Well done Squire.

Seriously delicious smoke. Good strength, great flavor, smoked cool. No relights. Highly recommend.

I’m one of those difficult people that believe an “english” blend should consist of virginias with a reasonable balance of orientals and latakia; a “balkan” has a greater contribution from orientals.
Baker Street, with the addition of burley, is neither. At best, burley makes this an “american english” mixture. The perique, however, replaces a goodly portion of the latakia (the latakia doesn’t dominate, that is), so now my careful labelling system is totally ruined.
Virginias are the foundation of Baker Street, and the burley supports. Latakia makes its presence known from the first light, but doesn’t take over the mixture, as with so many english blends.
But oh my the perique. That is where Baker Street sets itself apart from the pack. More specifically, the dance between the latakia and the perique, both in perfect harmony.
That harmony makes this a rare treat.

This is the equal, or maybe a little better than Frog Morton On The Bayou. ’nuff said….

    This blend is a revelation.
The unlit aroma is amazing, a classic, familiar and inviting scent.
In the pipe it is pure joy. Cool, smooth and easy smoking, but medium bodied and absolutely delicious. No bite or harshness, just heaps of balanced flavor and sweet smoke. Enough of a nicotine punch to satisfy.
This is a truly special blend. Burns clean and even, leaves no dottle and doesn’t get bitter.
From the moment I finished my first bowl, I had decided that I would no further be without it.
I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is my desert island blend. If I could only have one tobacco forever this is it. Jay Hayes review above nails it IMO. Thank you CS!

I initially bought an ounce of Baker Street back in March to give this blend a try. Being a fairly new pipe smoker, I had spent most of my time with Virginias, VaPers, and Burleys. Baker Street was my initial trek into a blend with Latakia. I bought an ounce because of the suggestion of Quinn Crawford. As I smoked through that initial ounce of Baker Street, I found the blend to be very smooth with a unique taste. What makes this blend unique to me is that the tobaccos blend so well together that it doesn’t seem to me that any one tobacco is dominant. That is something that I greatly appreciate and enjoy about this blend. Before purchasing more, I went on an English blend pilgrimage. As a former small business owner, I am thoroughly committed to supporting the brick-and-mortar tobacconists that still exist. After smoking some of the highly acclaimed blends (tobaccoreviews.com) from what my research has found to be the premier brick-and-mortar shops across the country, Baker Street kept worming its way back into the tobacco compartment in my mind. I have found a few English blends that are very good (including Shepherd’s Pie), but I have not found an English-style blend that I like better. I recently purchased 4 oz. of Baker Street to scratch that itch and I am happy that I did. There is something so unique about this blend, something that I can’t quite put my finger on, but I suppose a blend titled Baker Street should bring some mystery with it! The mysterious Baker Street is one blend worth investigating!

Very good blend. One that is full of flavor yet surprisingly very kind to the mouth.

It’s an all day smoke if sipped and savored, burns dry and easy. It’s exactly what a good quality blend should be!

Five stars all the way around!

Great smoke for after dinner. Definite nicotine punch. Actually got a buzz off of the nicotine content. Have to remember this has to be smoked slowly. Good balance between the perique and the Latakia. Most English blends go over the top with the Latakia but Baker Street has the perfect balance of all the different tobaccos.

A great medium bodied English blend with just the right amout of Latakia and a touch of perique. A smooth and easy blend to smoke. Both beginner and advanced piper will enjoy this fine blend.

Great smoke for an intro to an English blend! Might I add, haven’t smoked anything better as of yet?
