As I love cavendish only blends this a great easy=going mild smoke that really brings out the quality of cavendish.. The cut is just right. I .would love to see the Squire play with this one a bit to add some more variety for full only cavendish smokers, Maybe vanilla and rum or vanilla and honey. Regardless will be ordering again soon.

I haven’t smoked my pipe(s) for awhile, but now I’m retired from being a 911 Dispatcher. Sitting on the front porch smoking my pipe now is something I look forward to. Black Arrow was a favorite to smoke there! Even my neighbors walk by and compliment it’s pleasant aroma! Mine has been sealed in a jar for about a year, I just checked, and it’s still fresh and calling my name for some relaxing time out there on my glider! One of my favorites for a long time to come! Like seeing an old friend that has been gone and now come home!

I love Black Arrow so much~ My favorite Squire blend along with Hunting Creek and Old Toby. If you haven’t tried a cavendish blend but like aromatics and hybrids, you owe it to yourself to give this a spin. Like all Squire blends it smokes easily, despite coming out of the bad rather wet and sticky on the fingers – I’ve always been impressed that it doesn’t need much effort to light or get going. One of those blends non-smokers will genuinely enjoy being around, and a delight for anyone with a bit of a sweet tooth.

CS just keeps surprising me with new favorites! This reminds me of some of their middle earth blends in that it’s a little earthy and nutty, but it also carries a touch of sweetness. It certainly is velvety smooth and caresses your mouth. This is now another CS go-to I hope to enjoy for a long time.

This is excellent on its own. I’ve even mixed it with some Newminster Danish Gold as it looks like it has some Cavendish already in it and WOW does this amp it up… Just excellent!

This had to grow on me. The first try was “meh.” I circled back to it after 4 or 5 months because it had my work shelf smelling like vanilla (inside the bag!). It has a subtle sweetness, doesn’t bite, and doesn’t have a strong mouth feel (if you’ve ever smoked latakia, to me that tends to coat the tongue). Pleasant aroma. In the bag it smells like (based on five months old one ounce bag that was still wet) maple and vanilla. When burning it has a pleasant smoky vanilla scent.
Great for beginners but anyone can enjoy this.

This is an awesome smoke! As a kid I remember our milk hauler smoking something that smelled great. It filled the whole milk room with a delicious smell. I called his son to see if he remembered what it was . BLACK ARROW was his answer. I bought some, and I love it!!

After 25 years on premium cigars, coming back to the pipe lifestyle. My first tobacco was Black Arrow. After 3 weeks of experimenting to find my perfect packing technique and pacing, I am returning to Black Arrow for a fair review. Packed slightly tight, just a little rebound at the top. Lights easily, tamp, beautiful relight. Easy to keep lit, burns cool, white ash, no tongue bite. I love the taste, slightly sweet, touch of chocolate, nice tobacco flavor. The sweetness reminds me of maduro cigar tobacco. I like this blend so much that i have to force myself to slow down and let the flavor develop. Newbee or life-long pipe smoker, this is a great mild, tastey blend. Put me down for a pound.

I got this along with some Tombigbee. I was more excited for Tom, but man I think I enjoyed Black Arrow more! I’m new to pipes so I’m probably not picking up and tasting things that a seasoned smoker tastes, but my first pipe of Black Arrow was one of the first tobaccos that I could actually detect different flavors without having to really try. It’s a more bold tobacco compared to other aromatics that I’ve tried, but is still a smooth and delightful smoke. I really really like Black Arrow.
